Toxins in North Carolina Water

A complaint has been filed against a Fayetteville, NC company for illegally dumping toxins into the city’s water supplies. The complaint alleges that Chemours, a Fortune 500 chemistry company that spun off of DuPont, knowingly dumped the GenX and PFAS toxins into the Cape Fear River, which is the water supply for Wilmington, NC.

The legal action is a move by Cape Fear River Watch and the Southern Environmental Law Center to get the company to stop what they allege has been decades of blatant, harmful practices.
